Get the Word Out With JamCentral

JamCentral is an automated mailing list. The purpose of the JamCentral mailing list is to enable JamCentral subscribers to announce unpublished and informal bluegrass jams and invite musicians (pickers) and listeners (grinners) to actively participate. JamCentral is not an announcement of performances; subscribers are being invited to play and/or listen.

As a JamCentral subscriber you can send notices to all the other JamCentral subscribers. Understand that you are inviting everyone on the mailing list to whatever activity you are announcing so if you want to qualify the participants make sure you make it clear in your original announcement. For example, if you want a limited amount of pickers then have them email your personal email address to get on a list if you will (first come, first served; the rest can be grinners). You don’t have to be a DBA member to join JamCentral but membership is encouraged to actively support traditional bluegrass music in Tucson and Southern Arizona. To subscribe to JamCentral send an email to:

JamCentral-subscribe@desertbluegrass.org

Within a short period of time you be sent a confirmation. Simply reply to the confirmation and you will be placed on the JamCentral email list.

Once you have received your confirmation that you are on the JamCentral list you may send your Jam Announcements and Jam details to:

JamCentral@desertbluegrass.org

Once the email is reviewed and accepted by the JamCentral moderator it will automatically be sent to everyone who has subscribed to JamCentral.

You may unsubscribe at any time by sending an email to:

I hope this encourages bluegrass enthusiasts to get more active in the music. As a picker and a great admirer of bluegrass music, jamming is my real passion. It brings the harmony of the music together with the harmony of friends and peaceful hearts. Whether you are a picker or a grinner this is a great way to stay connected to the bluegrass community and find out where the action is.
